Danish Ambassador Talks Energy in China

The Danish Ambassador Friis Arne Petersen met on Thursday 5 April with Senator Jeff Bingaman, Chairman of the US Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources.

Together they discussed US-China Energy cooperation, recent developments within sustainable energy, and the Danish-Chinese energy cooperation including the newly established China National Renewable Energy Center in Beijing.

Also present at the meeting were Bob Simon Staff Director of the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, American energy experts, First Secretary at the Danish Embassy S?ren Bindesb?ll and Danish chief expert for the new China National Renewable Energy Center, Kaare Sandholt.

Ambassador Petersen served as Ambassador of Denmark to the US from 2005-2010 and had a close cooperation with Senator Bingaman and Bob Simon on a number of energy issues.
