Intimate Thoughts, Part I ? Integrated Memoirs

In a previous post, I touched on the subject of intimacy in relationships, and it?s about time to divulge into the subject a bit more.

Anyone who knows me, knows I have no problem talking about intimacy, sex, making love, etc. It?s part of the basic needs / desires of being a human, and in my opinion, it?s a vital facet of a relationship. It can?serve as?the bridge to bonding, as a creative outlet, and as a way to get to know your partner on a different level. As a grown woman, I can honestly say these are all actions I enjoy, and they?re all part of becoming aware of one?s sexuality.

Talking about sex to people is either black or white; there is no grey area. Even in today?s society, you have people who are either into the conversation of it or not. Me, I?m comfortable enough with myself to talk about sexuality and everything it encompasses. Unfortunately, the subject is still considered to be taboo, and often, it has such a negative connotation attached with it, especially when people tend to think that being a sexual being is conflicting with being a spiritual being (I had a major conversation about that recently with some of my friends).

Recently, I had the opportunity to interview someone that?I highly respect when it comes to the subject of sexuality and intimacy in relationships. Her name is Ev?Yan, and some of you might know of her from her current blog, Sex, Love & Liberation?or?from her previous blog, Apricot Tea. Ev?Yan?s perspective on the subject is like that of mine?open and honest. It was a pleasure interviewing her, and I?m sure you will enjoy reading what she had to say?

?so stay tuned :)
