Low carb diets for kids are a great way to lose fat and enjoy delicious food at the same time. If your kid is over weight or diabetic, this diet is a good option. This is because blood sugar levels remain stable and the body will metabolize fats for energy.

Stevia is a herb based sweetener that is great for low the diet.

Low Carb Ice Cream

Low carb ice cream for kids is nutritious, delicious, and good for the health. Ice cream is one of the many treats that I loved as a kid. The problem is that it can be a very fattening treat. Ice cream is loaded with sugar and carbs and can cause weight gain and cavities. However, there is a way to enjoy it and not worry about either of these problems. Definitely add this to your kids recipes.

It has a very little amount of carb per serving so it will not be as damaging as real ice cream. All you need are the ingredients and a cheap ice cream machine. Here is what you need for this great kids recipe.

Ingredients for 8 servings:

1 ? cup heavy cream
1 tbsp stevia or splenda
1 tsp vanilla extract

Simply mix the ingredients and put them in the ice cream maker. If you don't own an ice cream machine, you can use this method:

Get a bucket and put 3 cups of ice in it. Then place 6 tbsp of salt in the bucket. Put the ice cream mixture in a plastic zip lock bag and place the bag in the bucket. After a while, the ice cream should become creamy. It is now ready to eat.

Add some strawberries, cocoa powder, or peanut butter into the mixture for different flavors. Each serving has 250 calories, 22 grams of fat, and 3 grams of carbs. This tasty dessert is one of the great kids recipes that are tasty yet guilt free.
