Welcome to the New Real Estate Marketplace on REALTOR.com ...

errol Welcome to the New Real Estate Marketplace on REALTOR.comOur fundamental and collective belief is simple: Real estate is best experienced when it transacts inside the Realtor family. To us at REALTOR.com, that means doing everything possible to connect buyers and sellers with you.

Strip Realtor.com down to its birthday suit and it doesn?t get any simpler than this.

But, simple takes work. And it takes investment. It requires an internal commitment to align every service and product with the underlying mission of doing what we can to help you thrive.

This is the dedication that defines Realtor.com today.

With the release of our mobile apps, you?re witnessing a new era of progressive technology that?s being applied to our ever growing and improving line of tools and products. You?re seeing us expand our business relationships, and making considerable investments to fund our growth so we can present you to new audiences.

These days, we?re even fixing things that aren?t really broken because maintaining the status quo in a fast paced, ever changing world doesn?t do you or us any justice.

Pushing Ahead

Good things happen when you tap into the creative energy that flows across this industry. Great things occur when you marry it with the results garnered from the stream of research that pinpoints where problems lie and where simple solutions reside.

Take for example the significant portion of inquiries from individual property listings that go unanswered. As a result, these buyers move on.? They view other listings. Attempt to reach other agents. Often times, they simply move on and search for homes on other, non-industry websites.

This consumer experience isn?t good. It paints an inaccurate picture of the real estate industry and that does not serve your best interests. We have some ideas on how to fix this and we began testing one approach this week.

Testing in Seven Markets

We?re testing a concept where non-enhanced listings that fall within specific zip codes in 7 markets will have a new feature:? an inquiry form which will connect consumers with a buyer?s agent who is committed to providing a timely response.? The inquiry form will not include any competing agent or broker branding. And we are adding additional content, including photos and the listing agent?s name to these test listings.? We believe the combination of additional content plus a non-branded inquiry form will give buyers more reasons to make a connection with a Realtor, and ultimately drive transactions.? We will be monitoring the results closely to see if we can boost the rate of consumer-Realtor connections.

Stay Tuned

These improvements, while tied to our mission, are also very deliberate attempts to invigorate what is a very real consumer interest in real estate. It?s true the market is still challenging. Our economy remains tougher than predicted, and buyers and sellers often today have unrealistic expectations. Combined, these all place hard demands on you.? We want to help by driving more connections between consumers and Realtors.

We?re just getting revved up, so please stay tuned. We have many ideas and solutions in the works. We?re testing them. We?re implementing them. Experimenting. ?And then testing again.

We?re interested in your feedback as we try these new concepts.? Talk to us.? Ask us questions. Send us your ideas.

Join the conversation.
